Pain Management
Hypnotherapy is a complementary approach used in pain management to help individuals control, reduce, even alleviate their pain. During your sessions with John, he will introduce you to methods that will reframe your pain sensations, reduce anxiety, and promote well-being. Where pain is attached to the subconscious, there is a chance it can be released entirely. Hypnotherapy alters how the brain processes pain, offering a non-invasive, drug-free tool that can work alone, or alongside other treatments to speed up the healing process and improve quality of life.
Fibromyalgia Testimonial
I’ve been working with Dr. John Rowe for three months now, and honestly—he’s changed my life. If you’re someone living with chronic pain or an autoimmune condition—struggling just to get through the day—I want you to know it is possible to feel better. I’m living proof.

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia eight years ago. In that time, I’ve tried countless supplements, changed my diet three times, taken heavy doses of various medications, and worked with therapists to address pain and past trauma. While all of that helped in some ways, nothing has come close to the impact of the weekly hypnotherapy sessions I’ve been having with Dr. Rowe.
In just three months, I’ve been able to stop taking one of my medications and my pain has been relieved on average around 90% of what it was, which means my everyday life, especially work, is massively improved. The sessions have uncovered emotional layers I thought I’d already processed but turns out, they needed to be revisited.
Recently, I had a session that left me waking up the next morning completely pain free, for half a day. I know what you’re thinking: Half a day? But to me, it felt like years. For the first time, I got out of bed without my usual morning rituals. The mental space that pain usually takes up in my body and mind, just wasn’t there. My first thought was: What could I do if this became my new normal? So I made myself a cup of coffee, in my old heavy mug that had been gathering dust in the back of the cupboard and sat by the window watching the world go by, with a genuine smile on my face.
That half day gave me something I hadn’t felt in a long time: real, solid hope for the future.
If you’re someone like me—someone who’s willing to put the work in, not to feel that horrendous pain again—Dr. John Rowe is the therapist for you.
